A proposal of a safe, easy, highly productive
and low cost cultivation method for rice farming
1. Overviews
(1) Cultivation methods of the modern agriculture often seem not to have a proper
understanding of nature so that many of they are not truly beneficialfor
plant growth.
(2) The fact that bacteria have an important role in growing plants is rather
neglected.
In particular, the function of aerobes in leaves is not well appreciated. Furthermore,
the fact that plant roots in general take in bacteria and their secretions as nutrients is not well known,
either. The mechanism how aerobes and anaerobes work should be
properly understood.
(3) Since the cause of plant diseases is not correctly understood, chemical
fertilizers and
pesticides are often used in the modern agriculture that could cause even more diseases and pest insects.
(4) Nature has the laws of its own. However, the modern science has not truly
understood and
appreciated this fact yet. As a result, we are often suffered from
destructive insects and less
crop yields than expected.
(5) Understanding the way of nature to grow plants, including the mechanism of nature and
the function of bacteria, has enabled us to develop a 100% organic
farming method that is
noble and new in the world. The outcome of this organic farming using
bacteria is worth serious
consideration and applying this method to today's agriculture in the world is proposed.
We would like to call this method "the natural bacteria farming
method" that can be applied
to all types of cultivation both inrice farming and upland cropping.
2.The results of the rice cultivation based on the natural bacteria farming method
in the last four years
(1)
No agricultural chemicals were used for the rice cultivation in the last
four years.
However, no pest insects were found.
(2) The number of grains of a
single rice plant is approximately 140 to 200 that is much bigger
than usual amount, which is around 70 to 100 grains.
(3)
Although Japan experienced a poor rice crop in 2003 in general, our rice
fields could
produce a rich harvest: 9 bags of rice ( 540kg) per decare in comparison
of 7 bags of rice
( 420kg) per decare in general.
(4)
Weeds control is also found possible with this method.
3. This
natural bacteria farming method enables us to:
(1) Realize a compete organic farming with
neither chemical fertilizers nor pesticide chemicals
(2) Realize approximately two hold gain.
Shortening the required time from planting to
harvesting could also be possible.
(3) Prevent plants from having harmful insects
and damages by continuous cropping.
(4) Harvest sound and nutritious vegetables and
grains, which are also fresh for longer time.
(5) Recover the soils damaged by chemical
fertilizers and pesticides approximately in one
month, decomposing harmful substances into harmless ones.
(6) Reduce the cultivation costs by 50% or
more, compared to the general costs base on the
usual farming methods applying chemical fertilizers and
pesticides.
4. The methodology of the natural bacteria farming
(1)
Producing the
fermented bacteria liquid for spraying on leaves
Plants have bacteria in their leaves that are important for their growth. These bacteria (aerobes)
carry out photosynthesis, changing CO2 into O2 and producing amino acids (protein).
Leaves of rice have their own bacteria that are required for rice growth, as well as wheat leaves
possess their own required bacteria for wheat growth.
For rice cultivation, we suggest to ferment bacteria of rice taken from their own rice leaves to
produce fermented bacteria liquid. Then one or two times of spraying of
this fermented liquid on
the leaves should be performed.
The purpose of spraying this ferment liquid is to increase the amount of
bacteria in the leaves in
order to promote more photosynthesis. The more photosynthesis we have,
the more amino acids
(protein) we obtain to achieve a faster and bigger growth.
(2) Producing the fermented nutrition liquid for spraying on soils
Plant roots absorb bacteria and their secretions in soils as nutrients
rather than taking chemical
fertilizer directly into them as their nutrition. These bacteria mainly live on organic substances,
and giving them only inorganic chemical fertilizers is not enough
for providing them adequate
nourishments. In consequence, we have fewer bacteria that could cause
nutrition deficiency of
plants. To solve this problem, we recommend producing fermented nutrition liquid for adding
bacteria into soils as nutrients for plants.
To make this method successful, to consider an applicable balance between aerobes and anaerobes
in the bacteria is very important. Since the usual organic farming
method has not realized this
point properly and employed mainly anaerobes only, it still has some
problems to solve.
The ion-exchange reaction between aerobes and anaerobes provides certain
thermodynamic
energy that helps plants grow well.
Continuous cropping and salt deposition cause damages of required bacteria
in soils. To improve
these damages, providing the bacteria that consume salts together with the fermented leave liquid
described in (1) is recommended.
As mentioned above, understanding and utilizing the function of bacteria
allow us to obtain more
nutrients in soils with fewer pest insects and less damages by continuous
cropping.
Since bacteria in general are symbiotic, fermenting and using a various type of bacteria at the
same time do not cause any problem or harmful mutual effects at all.
(3) Producing the fermented bacteria liquid for spraying on the damaged leaves by pest insects
To recover the damaged leaves by pest insects, 20-30 different types of medical plants, trees and
herbs should be collected. The bacteria of them should be fermented
to produce the fermented
bacteria liquid for spraying on the damaged leaves to improve their
situations.
The materials of this fermented liquid are chosen from medical plants such
as Chinese herbal
medicines that are known their medical properties for human beings, and no hazardous effects
shall be expected. (A patent has been applied in Japan).
Extract of medical plants and trees are rather popular to be used in general for improving the
damaged leaves. However, our fermented liquid is more productive
as it is more concentrated and
more applicable to large-scale production. It is also friendly to
environments, since only plant
leaves are used for making this liquid.
(4) Producing the growth promoting liquid for plants
Chemical growth promotants are sometimes used for growing vegetables
and flowers. Instead of
such chemicals, natural growth promotant liquid with no side effects has been successfully
developed. Promoting more growth and fruits, safe and natural growth
promoting liquid using
certain type of bacteria, which produce a significant dose of female
hormones, have been developed.
(5) Anti-weed liquid
Weed prevention and control finally have become possible by understanding
the mechanisms of
nature. A combination of the fermented bacteria liquid and allelopathic effects allows us to gain a
solution for weed management.
5. Conclusions
The successful development of a new, easy, quick and cost-saving fermented method
(1) A simple method of getting bacteria from plant leaves has been developed.
(2) The fermented aerobe liquid method has been developed: 3-4 days are needed
for a
complete fermentation. When we use a special method for faster fermentation,
only 4 hours
are required for completing the fermentation.
(3) A simple method to increase the amount of the fermented liquid has been
developed up to
thousands times of the original amount.
(4) FT Revolution (Fermentation Technology) is
suggested.
Up to now
the fermentation method based on anaerobes has been more employed in general
⇒ The aerobes based method will be more employed in
future
Up to now
anaerobes have played a key role in farming issues
⇒ A good balance of anaerobes and aerobes should
be more considered.
Employing this new approach based on the fermented aerobe method, an easy, quick and
cost-saving farming can be realized. Bacteria play a significant
role in nature, supporting a
circulation mechanism of environment. They are the key to better
and safer cultivation.
※ Compared to fermentation usual methods, our new method is able to realize:
1. More than 500
times of concentration
2.
Thousands
times of productivity.
3. Lower cost
4.
Less
environmental impacts as trees do not have to be cut. Only leaves are
used.
6. What we can offer is:
(1) To explain the fundamental mechanism how nature grow plants
(2) To describe the principle function of bacteria, especially the mechanism
of aerobes and
anaerobes.
(3) A new fermentation method based on aerobes and how to increase the fermented liquid
(4)A method of choosing plants and trees for pest prevention and how to produce the
fermented liquid for pest problems
(5) A weed management method
(6) How to grow vegetables and grains in a safer, harmless, highly productive
and low-cast
way.
(7)Alternative growth promoting liquid using natural substances only, instead
of chemical growth
promotants.
